We are happy to work with flexible applicants who are a match to the position to build them a schedule that works with their personal life. Listed below are the ideal shifts and locations we are looking for at this time.

IDEAL SCHEDULE NEEDS (we will work with you to try to work out a schedule that works for your life and ours – full or part-time).

FALMOUTH: Sunday 9AM – 9PM; Friday 2PM – 9PM; Saturday 9AM – 9PM; Saturday 9PM – 9AM (this is an overnight shift). We will do our best to work with your needs for the REST OF YOUR SCHEDULE!

SANDWICH: Saturday 3PM – 9PM; Sunday 3PM – 9PM

HYANNIS: Friday 9AM – 9PM; Saturday 9AM – 9PM; Sunday 9AM – 9PM

MASHPEE: Full Time hours TBD

Note: On Sunday shifts we pay a differential of $1 per hour between 9AM and 9PM

Most of these homes have active clients who engage in many activities they cannot wait to get back to as the pandemic continues to stabilize. If you would like either a part-time or full-time position–we can work that out for you.

All positions +30 hours weekly enjoy an EXCELLENT benefits package including paid Holidays, PTO, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance, etc. Positions of +20 hours also have Holidays and PTO!

The support of these active and heart-warming residents is done through:

• Instruction, guidance and by serving as a positive example to these active adults
• Assisting them to maximize and maintain their independence in their home and in the community by assisting with life skills –cooking, planning, and reviewing daily/weekly schedules, cleaning
• Assisting in preparation for their morning, evening or night routines as needed, etc. and on errands and social activities in the community or virtually.
• Role modelling and maintaining sanitary conditions of workspaces and vehicles and complying with LIFE guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (e.g., uses PPE as required, social distancing, etc.)
• Applicant must be able to project a positive and patient personality and provide ongoing support, interaction, and encouragement to our clients.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be +18 years old
• MUST BE KIND, PATIENT and HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR
• Valid driver’s license required with acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle (mileage is reimbursed on the rare occasion when driving your personal vehicle is needed.)
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with supported individuals, co-workers and parents
• Must be able to manage an individual e-mail account and basic computer entries as needed
 Must be dependable
• Must be willing to complete and/or attend required training classes including CPR/First Aid and MAP Training (provided by LIFE)
• Per the state of MA DDS, MUST be able to pass CORI, DPPC and Fingerprint check and have an MVR record acceptable to LIFE’s Auto Insurance carrier.

Shared Living Provider (Multiple Locations)

Join our growing team of compassionate and reliable providers to support the wonderful individuals we serve at LIFE.

Shared Living is an arrangement available to qualified adults that is funded by The Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Shared Living Provider to oversee care for an individual with DDS services to reside in their home or yours, depending on the circumstances.

The Shared Living Provider would live with this young person.

In this crucial role you will:

• Help our participant to live a full and meaningful life.
• Be able to provide hands on ADL as needed.
• Continuously attend to medical needs under the Medication Administration Program (MAP) training provided.
• Drive and transport participant to appointments and activities.
• Monitor on-going medical issues.
• Take vital signs as needed.
• Assist in planning, food shopping, prep, and cooking with participant.
• Prepare paperwork for and attend appointments.
• Transport participant to appointments, and activities.

Qualifications:

• MAP Certified (Will provide training)
• First Aid & CPR Certified (Will provide training)
• Valid Driver’s License w/ reliable transportation (vehicle)
• COVID guidelines followed – PPE, etc. as required.

LIFE — Living Independently Forever supports adults with autism, learning and intellectual disabilities in their pursuit of a meaningful, healthy independent life, for LIFE.

  • We are currently seeking a few more staff to assist the individuals we support as Job Coaches, who will work in the Hyannis to Mashpee areas working with different individuals at different work locations to help them be their best!
  • We currently have both general Job Coach positions, and one to one positions available.
  • Hours are generally Monday-Friday regular business hours. However, for regular Job Coaches, working Saturdays will be periodically required, and will be assigned on a rotating basis.
  • If you enjoy every day being different—this may be the job for you!

All Applicants must:

  • Be patient, kind, outgoing and organized
  • Have excellent verbal and training skills; basic computer and email skills needed.
  • Enjoy working with people of different age groups, cultures, and abilities.
  • Be able to build confidence and independence in the individuals we support.
  • Provide resident transportation to and from employment sites. Will need to use personal vehicle much of the time (employees are reimbursed for mileage)
  • Must have the stamina to be present in the varied workplaces with the individual to provide proper job coaching support.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions of workspaces and vehicles; continually work with individuals to encourage their understanding and compliance with LIFE guidelines and their workplace guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (e.g., use personal protective equipment, social distancing, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality or training background excellent
  • Experience with the population we work with is excellent, but we will train the right candidate (Personal experience and volunteer work counts!)
  • Must be able to maintain professionalism in all workplaces
  • Must live in or around the Cape Cod, MA area.
  • Full-time position (30 Hours +) offers an exceptional benefits package including insurance, PTO, Paid Holidays, Bonuses, and much more
  • Must be willing to attend training through LIFE for CPR/First Aid (great if you already have) and be willing to complete any LIFE or DDS required/recommended training classes
