Current Openings:

Direct Service Professional (Falmouth, Mashpee, West Yarmouth)

$15 per hour; $16 per hour on Sundays 9 AM – 9 PM

Currently in place for newly hired group home direct service professionals

Sign-on bonus of $1,000. ($500 paid after 3 months, and $500 paid after 6 months if you average 20+ hours weekly)

Our LIFE small group homes (4-5 residents) are seeking full-time or part-time employees to join us in working with our exceptional residents to assist them in their day-to-day activities and in encouraging them to live as independently as possible.

In West Yarmouth, we are currently seeking someone to work Sunday 9 AM – 9 PM and Monday-Thursday 2PM-9PM. Also hiring a PT person 2PM – 9 PM Monday-Friday.

In East Falmouth/Mashpee, we are currently seeking someone to work Saturday and Sunday 9 AM -9 PM and a few 2 PM – 9 PM shifts during the week.

These homes have active clients who engage in many activities they cannot wait to get back to as the pandemic continues to stabilize.

Interested in part-time only? As long as you are over 18 years old and patient and kind, we would like to hear from you if this appears to be a position you would enjoy!

All positions +30 hours weekly enjoy an EXCELLENT benefits package including paid holidays, PTO, medical insurance, dental insurance, life and long-term disability insurance, etc. Positions of -30 hours also have holidays and paid PTO!

Candidate must be caring and patient as you will be working with our learning-disabled residents that reside in our lovely Group Home in W. Yarmouth. This home has active clients who we are working to get back out in the community more as the pandemic continues to stabilize.

The support of these active and heart-warming residents is done through:
• Instruction, guidance and by serving as a positive example to our active adults
• Assisting to maximize and maintain their independence at home by assisting with life skills –cooking, planning, and reviewing daily/weekly schedules, cleaning
• Assisting in preparation for their morning, evening or night routines as needed, etc. and on errands and social activities/adventures in the community.
• Ensuring that the Home, role modeled by the staff, maintains sanitary conditions of workspaces and vehicles and complies with LIFE guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (e.g., uses PPE, social distancing, etc.)
• Applicant must be able to project a positive and patient personality and provide ongoing support, interaction, and encouragement to our clients.
• MUST HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required with acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle (mileage is reimbursed on the rare occasion when driving your personal vehicle is needed.)
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with supported individuals, co-workers and parents
• Must be able to manage an individual e-mail account and basic computer entries as needed
• Must be dependable
• Must be willing to complete and/or attend required training classes including CPR/First Aid and MAP Training (provided by LIFE)
• Per the state of MA DDS, MUST be able to pass CORI and fingerprint check

Job Coach for Day Program (Sandwich, MA)

$16 per hour, full-time business hours, Monday-Friday

This is a role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others in a fun and exciting organization with exceptional growth potential!

We are currently seeking a Job Coach for our CBDS (Community Based Day Services) Program to provide on-site and community counseling, training and individual instruction to our wonderful LIFE residents with learning disabilities to help them reach their full potential in the workplace. This position is in the Sandwich Day Services location and the surrounding community.

  • Applicant must be patient, outgoing and organized.
  • Have excellent verbal and training skills.
  • Enjoy working with people of different age groups and abilities.
  • Be a team player.
  • Proficiency in basic technology (examples: Microsoft Office, Zoom, etc.).
  • Can support learning and cognitively disabled adults to help them build confidence and independence in the workplace.
  • Must provide resident transportation to and from employment sites and will need occasionally need to use personal vehicle (will be reimbursed for mileage).
  • Must have the stamina to be present in the varied workplaces (may include being outside) with the resident to provide proper job coaching support.

Position is 35-40 hours weekly and are 8AM-4PM-ish (we can be somewhat flexible).

Requirements:

  • Experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality or training background excellent
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with some college or technical coursework ideal
  • Experience with the learning disabled population desired, but not required

MUST be willing to attend any required classes per LIFE or DDS.

Valid driver’s license required with an acceptable driving record.

Must be able to pass CORI and fingerprinting as per DDS.

Shared Living Provider (Multiple Locations)

Join our growing team of compassionate and reliable providers to support the wonderful individuals we serve at LIFE.

Shared Living is an arrangement available to qualified adults that is funded by The Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Shared Living Provider to oversee care for an individual with DDS services to reside in their home or yours, depending on the circumstances.

The Shared Living Provider would live with this young person.

In this crucial role you will:

• Help our participant to live a full and meaningful life.
• Be able to provide hands on ADL as needed.
• Continuously attend to medical needs under the Medication Administration Program (MAP) training provided.
• Drive and transport participant to appointments and activities.
• Monitor on-going medical issues.
• Take vital signs as needed.
• Assist in planning, food shopping, prep, and cooking with participant.
• Prepare paperwork for and attend appointments.
• Transport participant to appointments, and activities.

Qualifications:

• MAP Certified (Will provide training)
• First Aid & CPR Certified (Will provide training)
• Valid Driver’s License w/ reliable transportation (vehicle)
• COVID guidelines followed – PPE, etc. as required.

Job Coach (Plymouth, MA)

The LIFE Community based out of The Pinehills and Harborwalk in Plymouth is seeking a full time (or part time) Job Coach to provide counseling, training, and individual instruction to our wonderful LIFE clients to help them reach their full potential through workplace training in their workplaces that are located throughout the Plymouth area.

  • Must live in or around the Plymouth, MA area.
  • Employment type can be full-time or part-time. The position is generally Monday-Sunday daytime hours.  We can be somewhat flexible around your needs.
  • Full-time position offers an exceptional benefits package.

  • Must live in or around the Cape Cod area.
  • Employment type can be full-time or part-time. The positions are flexible daytime hours Monday-Sunday. We can be somewhat flexible around your needs.
