He has over 15 years of experience implementing positive behavior supports within organizations and providing educational and clinical support to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Robert is a certified trainer in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and has provided certification training to hundreds of individuals. 

He has served as a senior level therapist for Massachusetts’ Department of Developmental Services’ Autism Waiver Program and provides post graduate practicum supervision to those seeking board certification as a behavior analyst throughout the United States. Robert specializes in assessing and treating individuals with explosive and unsafe behavior, conducting functional analyses, teaching social skills, designing individualized skill acquisition plans, developing coping skills, training staff and providing programmatic development consultation to organizations.

LIFE, now more than ever!

For more than 25 years, the Living Independently Forever (“LIFE”) organization has enabled individuals to achieve independent lifestyle goals through intensive supports in the areas of home living and economics, vocational training, recreational, health and fitness programs, and importantly, active social engagement.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the LIFE team implemented practices to keep our community safe and healthy, quickly adapting to offer new ways to provide continuity of services.

Our entire community has demonstrated remarkable resilience through this crisis, which is a skill essential to a happy, independent life and LIFE’s mission.

Many program participants have worked through this pandemic at supermarkets, assisted living, restaurants, and other businesses to support the greater community.

During Family Conference 2020, we celebrate all of LIFE’s resilient heroes — staff, families and participants — who have worked through their fear by continuing to show up every day!
