I spy some creativity at LIFE

LIFE offers a rich array of activities including art class. Tessa D’Ogostino, a beloved art teacher at LIFE, offers weekly classes at the LIFE communities. Her Mashpee class is working on a collaborative collage.

Mashpee participants collect detailed magazine images for the project that will be selectively added to the collage over time.  For example, Rob said he has a small picture of an owl from a magazine he plans to bring to add to his collage. The ideas are flowing fast and furious from this creative group.

Tessa explains that they have decided it would be fun to create an “I Spy” list of items. The list will be mounted next to the completed collage so visitors can search the artwork for the hidden items. The participating artists already have a list started, which includes corn on the cob, a bluebird, and a grasshopper. The collage is available in the Mashpee Rec Hall for viewing.

Tessa and the art class thank LIFE for the opportunity to make art together, and look forward to creating more unique pieces for us to enjoy in the future.
