Agency With Choice (AWC)
LIFE offers Agency With Choice (AWC) services for applicants referred through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Based on the concepts of self-determination and self-direction, AWC empowers the individual and family to take an active role in the design, implementation, and evaluation of their services.
LIFE’s AWC services are offered through our Individualized Day Supports and Individualized Home Supports programs. Acting as a consultant to the AWC individual and family, LIFE will leverage its community network and professional experience to assist the individual in meeting their goals. As the Employer of Record, LIFE will also provide all training, human resource services, and record-keeping required by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
LIFE has always believed that when the individual participates in the direction of his or her services, success is not far behind. AWC provides LIFE with the perfect vehicle to support individuals in their pursuit of a happy, independent life.
