Community-based Day Services (CBDS)
Community-based Day Services (CBDS) emphasizes paid employment as an outcome. It is a pass-through program that works on the discovery of likes and dislikes, preferred work environments, and a general assessment of one’s strengths.
Discovery, by design, takes a while as we learn about an individual. Discovery is combined with volunteerism to work on job skills and work ethic, leading to the ultimate goal of paid employment.
Please note, this is not a day program and therefore is not structured hour by hour. This is a skill development program, which is done at various sites around the community, with each skill being incorporated into a wide range of activities.
The LIFE CBDS offices are located in Sandwich, MA and Plymouth, MA at Cordage Park within walking distance from the Plymouth station on the Plymouth/Kingston commuter rail line.
