The LIFE Mashpee Supported Independent Living (SIL) community is a condo community where individuals live in one- or two-bedroom condos in a private, quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood. 

LIFE Cape Cod serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – we are not a senior living or assisted living community.

The Mashpee residential condo units are surrounded by beautiful trees and a central community building for gatherings, including meals in the large kitchen or on the outdoor deck in the warmer months. The outdoor pavilion hosts many impromptu gatherings to catch up with friends and enjoy the fresh air. In the warmer months, individuals enjoy outdoor yoga and other fitness activities. 

The community building includes a rec room that hosts weekly dance parties, community meals, a spacious kitchen for gatherings, plus activities ranging from book club to social hour and art classes. The community gym has a variety of fitness equipment for all abilities, and an on-site LIFE Fitness Coach offers group fitness activities focused on a healthy LIFEstyle, including nutrition classes and nature walks.  

Individuals can walk to many amenities, including a local grocery store, restaurants, and shopping. Local transportation options include Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA), Falmouth Taxi, Uber, DART bus, Peter Pan and Plymouth & Brockton bus lines.

Living Independently Forever, Inc.^®(LIFE) supported employment services office is conveniently located on-site at this Cape Cod location, where LIFE adults with autism, learning, and intellectual disabilities meet with their LIFE Job Coaches to pursue a job they truly want, in an environment they want to be in. 

Weekly community activities take advantage of the beautiful nearby Cape Cod beaches, including South Cape State Beach, as well as recreational areas for walks and time to unwind in nature. Additionally, numerous shopping, entertainment, and dining options are located just minutes away at Mashpee Commons. 

This community also offers fun excursions to the nearby islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, as well as occassional bigger trips, such as a cruise to the Caribbean.
