LIFE Family Conference: May 3-5, 2024

We are excited to see you at Family Conference for a fun weekend to connect and celebrate the LIFE community. On Saturday morning, May 4, we kick off the day with the Lovin’ LIFE 5K. Walkers and runners (and cheerleaders!) of all abilities are welcome to participate in this festive event. See the link below to register.

Saturday evening, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, join us for a celebration with dinner, dancing, and a silent auction with lots of new, exciting items, including artwork created by LIFE artists.

On Sunday morning, LIFE parents are encouraged to attend a special presentation on the State of LIFE presented by Steve Barney, Interim CEO. This presentation will describe proposed changes to the SIL support agreements, including proposed fee increases, the transportation policy, and increased use of pay-as-you-go for group social and recreation activities. There will be time for your questions. Please join us for this critical conversation.

Lovin’ LIFE 5K

Join us for the 12th annual Lovin’ LIFE 5K and after-party with music, food, and awards on Saturday, May 4, 2024 starting at 9:00 A.M in Mashpee. All abilities are welcome to run or walk the course. Bring your family and friends. All proceeds benefit LIFE Special Olympics programs.

Hotel Reservations

Reserve your hotel rooms early! A limited number of hotel rooms are on hold for LIFE guests at a reduced rate at the Emerald Resort (previously Cape Cod Irish Village), 35 Scudder Avenue, Hyannis, MA 02601.

The LIFE group rate is $134 for single/double occupancy plus tax. When booking, remember to reference Living Independently Forever Family Retreat. The group discount deadline is April 11, 2024. 

To reserve online: Visit the Emerald Resort website,  www.theemeraldresort.com. On the top left of the page, click the “Book Online Tab”. Complete your information and enter Group Reservation Code: LIFFR24.

To make a reservations by phone: Call toll-free 866-828-9111 or 508-775-7775 from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, and ask for the Living Independently Forever Family Retreat 2024 Room Block.

All reservations must be secured by a one-night deposit, plus current 14.45% Massachusetts occupancy room tax, per room via a valid American Express, Visa or MasterCard number.

The block of rooms will be held until April 11, 2024 at which time the unused portion will be released and your special group rates become subject to availability. 

Cancellations: If an individual reservation is cancelled seven days or more prior to arrival, the deposit is refunded, less $15.00 service charge and a cancellation number is obtained. If an individual reservation is cancelled six days or less prior to arrival, or does not arrive on the specified dates, the reservation is cancelled for all nights and the entire deposit will be forfeited.
