Group Homes
For individuals requiring additional supports, LIFE offers beautifully appointed group homes for adults in safe neighborhoods located throughout Cape Cod.
Individuals in LIFE group homes receive 24/7 staffing supports, access to the LIFE community and facilities, and a social calendar that takes advantage of all the wonderful things New England has to offer. Each home features spacious bedrooms and common areas.
Weekly community meals bring together the group home and shared living individuals for an evening of socializing and home-cooked meals. LIFE group home residents are 18+ year old adults. We are not a senior living or assisted living community.
Supports are provided by two to three staff members per shift. Often group house individuals enjoy group community activities with the on-site staff members.
Nursing and clinical support are available in LIFE group homes. The LIFE staff supports group home individuals toward greater independence in all areas of life.
Many of our group home individuals participate in LIFE employment services and community-based supported services (CBDS) programs.
Additionally, group home individuals are active participants in LIFE’s Special Olympics programs, based on availability.

Their confidence has improved, their communication is better and they have roommates of similar ages and abilities to socialize with. They have developed a wider network of friends within LIFE they visit with and do activities with frequently.
The staff have been outstanding and really work to ensure they are safe and well cared for. They also provide access to many opportunities for learning and recreation that would be impossible for me to provide on my own. Plus, they have been given guidance and responsibilities for household chores, including cooking, light household cleaning, and their laundry, which gives them a sense of contributing and being an important part of the household.
